This is my introductory post, and you couldn't imagine my surprise when I found an English section on a German forum! Thank you!!!!
My name is William Grow, and I'm an American living in Hungary. My wife and I lived here between 2009 and 2013. We missed Europe so much we decided to move back, and are hoping our stay here will be permanent.
That being said, I find myself out of my "home field advantage" when it comes to buying parts for my 1988 Toyota 4-Runner (and parts for it are nearly non-existent in Hungary). Shipping things from my resources in the US is becoming increasingly expensive, so I was searching Germany for a "Toyota W56 Getriebe" when I found you guys.
Might any of you know a person or a place that would sell a used or refurbished W56B Schaltgetriebe? I've broken mine and the shop I've taken it to doesn't seem to want to give it back to me (long story).
For now, here's a picture of my truck:

Thank you! This is my third such vehicle. While in the US I owned a 1985 4-Runner (Solid axle, 22R) and a 1987 4X4 Pickup (IFS, 22R).
This one is an 1988 or a 1989 (hard for me to tell because the year on my documents is the year of registration and not the vehicles model year) and I have it entered in the 2022 Budapest to Bamako rallye in January of next year. |

No prob.
Have a look on that button situated in the green row above: <Keine neuen PNs>. If there is a new message, letters change from white into red and the text to <Neue Nachricht> (or <Neue PN>) or something like that. |
